Qualifications for Mentors 
  • The mentor has demonstrated Christian maturity and competence in life management.

  • The mentor possesses the necessary knowledge and practical abilities for teaching others.

  • The mentor has gifts and abilities that build up and encourage others.

  • The mentor has the ability to see potential in a person.

  • The mentor has the ability to see the big picture and offer perspective.

Mentor Responsibilities 
  • Participates in a training session for mentors. 

  • Meets once a month (1-2 hours per meeting) with protégé and reviews the protégé's progress of integrating his priorities into life.  The mentor commits to the mentoring relationship for the duration of the protégé's participation in the program (approx. 18 months). 

  • Completes a final review on the protégé.
Mentoring Timeline 
  • Protégé turns in name of desired mentor at weekend seminar.

  • Mentoring Advisory Team notifies protégé of mentor approval.

  • Protégé contacts mentor and notifies Mentoring Advisory Team of mentor's willingness to serve.

  • Each mentor attends one training session and turns in Mentor Information Form.

  • Protégé meets with mentor for the first mentoring session.
